Additional latex..When? & How much?
« on: February 07, 2010, 04:11:02 PM »
When do you know it's time to add latex to your tubeless tires?
How much do you add when you do?
..Or do you empty all the old stuff and start fresh?
It's going on 1-yr with my Stans.
Is it time? :undecided:

Wow. I got excited for a second. My mind often wanders to the gutter. :-)

sorry. I'm no help. But I did chuckle at the title.

did a little digging around, read a few places that you should "check the level every 2 months or so"  it really only lasts about 8-12 month before it needs replacing....  one other interesting fact I didn't know was that the stuff they use to keep the latex liquid (mostly ammonia, but other chem's too) are REALLY bad for aluminum.  :o

thinking I'm going to try the caffe latex next time   :undecided:

Ya. The Caffe stuff is interesting. The thought of corroded rims (due to latex) is chilling.!  :o
