Louis Garneau arm-leg warmers
« on: December 11, 2009, 09:01:59 AM »
Been thinking of trying these types of things for a few yrs now. Looking around I see ridiculous pricing on this stuff. I mean come on $50- $100 for a piece of spandex?  ya ya it's fluffed or brushed inside, big woop, that adds like 2 bucks to production... ::)

anyway, I walked into my local shop a few weeks ago and they had the Louis Garneau's there for $20 and $25 for arm and leg warmers. Now here is a price I can see and afford. and it was at a shop NOT online!!  They are pretty light weight so not for REAL cold but are more for cool riding. Though as an added under layer I think they will be awesome.

Well, I got to say I love them. perfect for that chilly ride start where it feels cold but you warm up after 10 mins and need to shed a layer. Super comfortable, stay put pretty well and don't bunch even if they do move. They breath AWESOME!!!  I sweat, bad!. I sweat more sitting here typing the the average person does when riding!! not kidding.  :(  But these things never got wet feeling. Though they were damp when I took them off they never felt "flooded" if that makes since..?
I purchased the leg's in XL because I have always had issues with clothing going around my legs and binding. Bike wear companies should take the extra leg muscle and such from riders into consideration but don't normally. Well these do, I should have gotten just Large, LG is sized correctly for us Bike riders!  ;D

I could go on but I wont bother, they are comfortable, reasonably priced(even at a shop), do what they are supposed to.

Glad you like them, I think Mrs. Claus got me some of these (they were on my list anyway) so it's good to hear they work ;D

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty well preserved body but rather to skid broadside totally worn out proclaiming “”WOW What a RIDE!”
