single speed?

ok, so Ive been riding on the street lately and doing some stuff in the park and my wheels are a bit too heave 4 me. i was thinking of getting a single speed setup but i wanted to see wat other people thought first. Any comments?

Singlespeed rocks, that is if you are man enough for One Gear means More Beers!   :laugh:

I ride SS mountain and Road (fixed) and love it.  Takes a different approach though.  Picking the right line, setting up your climb, figuring out the best time to come out of the saddle, when to get off and just walk the hill.

sounds like a good deal, but there r alot of hills where i ride. and i think Ill hold back on the beers, only 16 :D

Unless they are all fall line climbs, just run 32:20 or 22 and then go lower as you build them legs.  I went from 34:22 to 34:19 for racing earlier this year.
