Ok, I'll try and keep it short here.
Well,
The reason I started this Whole forum was for a more localized Mountain Bike Reviewing.
Over the past few years of biking and starting to really get into the sport I noticed a few things. It seems everywhere I go on the web most Mtb reviews are based or written by people out west in areas like Moab, California, and other Western locations. More than once I have purchased something based on these reviews only to find out that they really don't always apply to our location. soooo, Sparks started flying out of my ears as my brain started smoking with this brilliant idea,

... I'd make a Forum where the reviews are based on the New England/Tri-State/ East Coast area. Reviews that are from the people in the area, also not controlled by some company or magazine getting paid by the Manufacturer.
I also noticed that people were posting in their local forums, but weren't allowed to report negatively about local shops. Hey a lot of these shops where supporting those forums. So I wanted to allow people to report on bad products, I mean, isn't that the point of a review forum? to report about products and services be it good or bad?? Wouldn't you like to come here and find out about a bad mechanic BEFORE you spend your money? Or find out that a REALLY good shop is only a mile more away than the So-so one you are going to now? Well, that's why we are here!! So go ahead and write what you feel,
just please keep it clean!! and don't just flame some one or a product, but write an informed review. We are planning on keeping this place Advertisement free. So there will be no one "Censoring" the reviews other than for fowl language and such! We Would, love to get "sponsor's" to donate products to be reviewed.. but these will be for raffles and such where everything goes to you guys... not for me or someone else's profit!! and if it happens to be a bad product.. So be it!! We'll let them know, maybe then they can modify or fix it!
One other thing I noticed was the younger, male only styling of the postings. now it is a basically male sport, or so I thought, but over time I was meeting and seeing more and more ladies hitting the trails. After a few chats with them I asked why I never saw any of them on the forums, posting rides, writing reviews. the one and only answer I got....
"most of the time the language used in those places isn't very nice, and half the time I can't even understand what they are saying or guys are using sexually offensive pictures of half naked girls, major turn off!!"So another thing I wanted to do different was to keep it family oriented while still being FUN!! Go ahead, joke around. But please keep it clean, and generally english.

SO, Christmas eve 2008, snowing out, Bored stiff, I sat down and set up this site.
anyway, here we are with our little forum.. now that's my story,... and I'm sticking to it!
