Hey all!
Just gotta shout out 'bout how happy I am with my newest ride.
Master Llama's Rockhopper 29'r (aka: The Pumpkin) is no longer his cause it is now MINE....ALL MINE !! (to a degree..heh heh)
After much convincing by Master Llama, I gave in to taking his Pumpkin frame and built it up as a 29'r SS all rigid...
Although I fit a small frame in the 26'' varieties, the Master's frame was a medium and the thought of such a size spooked me. Yet, due to it's geometry, the frame (with the help of just the right stem and bar) puts me in an ideal rider positioning.
Unlike most of my 26'' MTB's, there's less seatpost showing on this bike. The RH'rs geometry is so different and it feels like I'm "down into the frame" as opposed to "on top of it". (hope that makes some sense to y'all

)
I'm stretched out but it's just right for climbing...Climbing is my primary
acid test for any bike I ride in order to decide how well a bike fits me.
The other tests: how it feels on tight single track, decending, and doing mild drops and hops. All feel just right.
There's much to be said for the right build. It's amazing how much one can do with just a frame..to tweak it til it feels like it was
"made just for you".
Ironically, I'm so happy with this frame and setup, that my other bikes are crying from neglect. They'll (my other bikes) have to suck it up. There are few things more pathetic than to see a grown bike cry.

Happy Happy to all.
