Liike I said ..else where.. I'd probably go fisher... but know you are stuck with that fork forever on that frame. whole diff geo to it than all other bike frames.  Though I think there are others taking it on too. :undecided:

but that's just me... have to test rode either?

I'm pretty sure you can change out the fork but a 1-1/8" to 1-1/2" adapter is needed.  Am I wrong?  I test rode both of them and I like them both but the roscoe seems to be a more stable bike.  It's a tough decision but I do not want to get a bike that has too many proprietary parts.

From what I get out of the info they have over on GF site... the Head tube is tapered.. bigger on the bottom, smaller up top.. stronger/stiffer steering while still able to use standard Stem.

also.. the fork tubes are pushed forward of the steering/head tube more than most current forks.  give you a more stable feel because the front tire is farther forward, making center of weight back...

at least that's what I get from the little info they have on their site  :undecided:

If you are going to be doing heavy bombing down a trail or doing some light downhill.. i'd probably go with the Fisher..  They are both claimed to be "rugged, long travel XC bikes" but you're less likely to go over the handle bars over the Specialized.

but I'm just speculating, it's really all how you feel on the bike.

ahhh get the Fisher.. they are super about service from what I hear so there shouldn't be an issue with the parts down the road.. just get it from a dealer so you can get direct help  :coolsun:  (not that specialized isn't...  :cheesy: they are good too)

can't seem to be able to pull the trigger.............I haven't bought a bike in 6 years or so and it's my first full suspension.  Don't want to make the wrong decision ???..................but I'm leaning toward the Fisher ;D

Fox seems to be making a few different forks with the 1.5" steer tube in addition to the 1-1/8" so it looks promising to be able to get different front forks in the future if I was to get the roscoe ;D

thanks again for the input.....
