bike related group names
« on: March 03, 2009, 10:56:41 AM »
been playing around with some of the more minor touches to the site.

Want to have some bike related group names... and colors to match.

Here's what I got so far... anything you guys think would be cool/funny? let me know!

0-4 Posts - Off the bike    and this Color in the list at the bottom of the home page.
5-9 Posts - Granny Geared    and this Color in the list at the bottom of the home page.
10-49 posts - Pedal head   and this Color in the list at the bottom of the home page.
50-249 - Heavy pedal     and this Color in the list at the bottom of the home page.
250 - 499 Golden Pedals    and this Color in the list at the bottom of the home page.
500- 999 hero Pedals     and this Color in the list at the bottom of the home page.
1000+ Pedal God   and this Color in the list at the bottom of the home page.

I know this is just goofy crap... but it's fun   ;D  Let me know whatcha all think

I'd segment more like
0 to 100 Granny Gear,
101 to 250 Middle Ring,
251 to 500 Mother Hucker or XC Weenie,
501 to 1000 Hammer God,
1001 to 5000 Life behind Bars

ya, I thought about more of a spread, but we're not a high post count site (yet anyway) with only a few day to day areas so I wanted to make people feel more a part of the site, not that anyone really notices these types of thing,   :undecided:   but it helps make you feel a part of the community, which is what I'm pushing for. :D

101 to 250 Middle Ring,
251 to 500 Mother Hucker,
501 to 1000 Hammer Head,
1001 to 5000 Life behind the H-Bars

I like this set up!  I edited it a little.  A better spacing will entice people to post more and therefore visit more.  JM2C!

ANd if you want me to be part of the community............I work for beer!!! ;D ;D

I like the idea of the smaller segments on the initial stages but I think you need to go 500, 1000, 2000+ as you get higher and higher.

Took me 4 years to hit 6K posts on Crankfire.  I think you have time to change your mind.
