I hear ya.. it seems to hurt less to break a flip than a $500 camera though..
I think im going to find a way to mount my older flip to the bars...

It's from Flip actually. For helmet or handlebars, provided your camera has a 1/4 inch tripod screw receiver. Got it on Amazon last year.
