Endura Hummvee bike shorts
« on: February 17, 2009, 08:19:05 AM »
I bought these for a friend as a birthday present, and might end up keeping them for myself for good and bad reasons.

Pro's - they are VERY well made, they look killer, they have some nice zippers for ventilation, and they fit me well.  And I got them on chainlove for about $35.  Also the padding in the arse area is just incredible.  I don't think my Fox Mid Ranger's have padding like this.

Con's - the sizing.... they are NOT going to fit my friend, I bought them in XL and their site says its for 39" - 41" waist.  They fit me perfectly and I'm a 34" waist.  So I almost don't want to give them to him, to see him try on a pair of XL shorts and make him feel bad.  Its the shorts, not you dude!

Now I either keep them and get him something else, or send them back and waste more money on shipping back and forth (which I can't stand).  I guess I can use a 2nd pair of MTB shorts for a weekend trip or something.   :halo:

I hear ya on this.
I've got the shorts and the 3/4's. They both fit a tad tight for the sizes indicated.
It's the inner lycra-padded shorts that are particularly tighter for me.
Otherwise, they are the best i've owned yet.
Get your bud the XXL and cross out one of the X's so he won't feel bad.
The bitterness of poor workmanship remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten...

LOL!!!!!!!!

You are right about the liner.  The liner on me is pretty snug.  The shorts are fine in the legs, and a little loose in the waist.  So I am assuming that the liner will kill his little buddies, and the shorts may be snug on him.  I got him a jersey as well, he is getting into bikes, been spinning a lot recently with his wife in the gym.  And I want to get him out on the trails this year.  Figured a jersey and padded shorts would be an excellent gift.  I just ordered two Camelbak Scorpions through Pricepoint, he was going to give me the cash for his 1/2, so maybe that'll be his B-Day gift instead.  We'll see!

That's a thought... If I don't keep them and he doesn't want to take them and exchange them, I may sell them to ya.

Economy (10-15 Days)  $6.51
Item(s): 1   Total: $42.86

I have the humvee short and the zyme 3/4 shorts and the singletrack pants all from endura. Im a size 38-40 waist I bought all 3 items in an XXl

The shorts fit me loose but bearable, the 3/4 pants fit me too losse that I need to tightem down on them really well, and the singletrack pant fits me to snug where i feel it in my thighs.. go figure..
Adore a Loucura

I decided to keep them, and so far i used them about 4 times... i think they are great.  A little bulky, but I like that, i dont really want any tight shorts.  the padding on these are far superior when I compare it to the fox mid-rangers that I have.  Lots of pockets which i can use before or after the ride, and they also look like cool shorts for when you walk around in them.
